New Zealand Introduces Year 11 Agriculture and Horticultural Science

On 2 November, Education Minister Erica Stanford announced a new optional Year 11 Agriculture and Horticultural Science subject, creating a clearer pathway into specialised study and careers in primary industries. The Ministry will develop teaching and assessment resources, but no separate programme budget was disclosed.
